Student Success Scholarship Application 2025-2026

The Davidson-Davie Community College Foundation offers competitive, merit-based scholarships for deserving graduating students to assist with outstanding educational costs or support transfer to advanced degree programs. The application is now open for students graduating in May 2026 (or Dec. 2025 if you finished early).

DEADLINE: Submit the application by midnight, Sunday, March 15, 2026. A letter of recommendation from an instructor/Davidson-Davie employee is also required by this date. Late applications and letters of recommendation will NOT be accepted!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Current Davidson-Davie student graduating from a curriculum program in May 2026 (or Dec. 2025 if you finished early). Note: if you have 1 or 2 classes to take during the summer in order to complete your degree, you can still be eligible; please let us know on the application.
  2. Minimum of 1 semester completed at Davidson-Davie
  3. Minimum 3.5 cumulative Davidson-Davie GPA as of the end of fall 2025 (overall GPA, not term/semester GPA). In some cases, program GPA may be considered if above 3.5 [check StormTrac for your cumulative GPA on your unofficial transcript]
  4. Complete the online scholarship application (including a letter of recommendation from an instructor/Davidson-Davie employee) by the deadline
  5. Complete the online graduation application – usually due by mid/late March (more info found here: Graduation Info – keep an eye on this page for updates) 
  6. Participate in a virtual or in-person interview in April if selected as semi-finalist (date to be determined)
  7. Please note: CCP High School/Dual Enrolled, Early College, Valley Academy, CCR/GED/AHS, and continuing education students are NOT eligible (eligible applicants must have already graduated high school by June 2025).

SELECTION PROCESS:
Applications will be reviewed after the March 15 deadline to select semi-finalists, with REQUIRED interviews in April (date to be determined). Scholarship winners will be determined after the interviews and announced at graduation in May.

  • Example: "I have class 9 to 11" or "my classes are online so my Mon/Thurs are open". Also list if you'll have any conflicts if interviews are held on a Mon/Thurs.

In this case, please upload a document (e.g., Microsoft Word) including the instructor/employee's name and stating that the letter will be emailed to Kristi.
